May 15, we held “Mycomateria: Seminar and Workshop on Mycelium Biofabrication” at Universidad del Desarrollo in Santiago, Chile.
The activity was organized by BioRed Iberoamérica and the Sustainable Materials Laboratory at UDD, in collaboration with CIMAC, FungiLab FAU Universidad de Chile, Taller Percán, and the Mycelium Metamorphosis Association.
The event brought together researchers, designers, architects, scientists, and biofabricators working with mycelium and biomaterials. It combined short presentations, an academic discussion, and a hands-on biofabrication workshop focused on the creative and sustainable use of mycelium for design and material experimentation.
