On October 15, we are opening the exhibition „Mycelium: Forms from the Fungal Kingdom” at the Museum of Architecture in Wrocław, Muzeum Architektury we Wrocławiu, dedicated to mycelium-based composites.
The exhibition is based on research conducted by the Mycelium Metamorphosis laboratory at the Faculty of Architecture of Poznan University of Technology, under the direction of the exhibition’s curator and the chair of our association, Prof. Agata Bonenberg, with curatorial assistance from Anna Lewandowska, the association’s secretary.
The exhibition engages in a dialogue between the geometric order of architecture and the organic, fluid, and unpredictable morphology of mycelium. Here, mycelium is not a passive material subservient to the designer, but an active participant in the creative process. Imperfection, irregularity, and variability cease to be flaws—they become a testament to life.
