Consuelo Fritz is a Wood Engineer who graduated from the University of Chile. She holds a Ph.D. in Forest Biomaterials from North Carolina State University in the USA. Currently, she serves as an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Forest Sciences and Nature Conservation at the University of Chile. Her research focuses on developing and characterizing advanced biomaterials derived from lignocellulosic residues, nanocellulose, and mycelium. These materials have applications in adhesives, insulation, and sustainable construction. Dr. Fritz has led research projects on fungal-based biocomposites, bioadhesives, and wood protection. She has published extensively in international scientific journals in the fields of biomaterials, nanotechnology, and forest sustainability.
